OUT OF ZONE ENROLMENTS

Enrolment at Matakana School is governed by an enrolment scheme. Children who live within the Matakana School ‘Home Zone’ have an absolute right to attend the school. If you live outside of the ‘home zone’, enrolment is governed by the provisions of the Education Act 1989. If the Board of Trustees determines space is available, the school will invite out of zone applications for available places via the school website and local paper, stating the application deadline and where to find more information about the Out of Zone Process. .

Out of Zone Enrolment Vacancies for Term 3 & Term 4 / 2026

Matakana School invites applications for out of zone enrolments in Year 0 for Term 3/4 2026. There are expected to be 2 places available for out of zone students in Year 0 only.

No out of zone places are available for any other year groups.

Deadline for applications - 3pm on Thursday 21st May

Ballot Date (if required) - Tuesday 26th May

Parents will be informed of the ballot outcome by Thursday 28th May
