During Term 1 and 4, teachers take students for structured swimming lessons using the SwimSafe Program and a pool key is available from the office to make use of this facility during the summer holidays


 

Matakana School Swimming Pool

(N.B. The school pool is not currently open for use outside of school hours)

                                       

THE RULES AND CONDITIONS ARE:

Hours: School Holidays 7am - 8pm  Term time 4pm - 8pm

The pool area must be vacated by 8.00pm every night.

 

Children must always have an adult closely supervising them.

Jumping, diving, running, chasing, dangerous or annoying play is strictly forbidden.

No dogs, pets, food or glass allowed in the enclosure.

All property is to be treated with respect.

The gate is to be kept locked at all times and is opened only to allow 

people in and out.

The pool cover must be treated with care.  No sitting or jumping on or from the pool cover roller.  The pool cover must be rolled up fully before each swimming session, and the cover should be placed on the pool when your session finishes, the cover reduces the heat loss.  

PLEASE DO NOT TIE IT DOWN.

Key holders have the right to require ALL pool users to follow these rules.

People who are unable to abide by the above will have their key confiscated.

If this occurs, there will be no refund of pool fees.  A list of the main key holders’ names is on display in the pool area.

Parents/Caregivers are urged to make sure children use the toilets next to the Room 6 before and during swimming time.

First aid and faecal/vomit accident kits, along with instructions for use, are located in the locked room next to the boys’ changing room.  Key is the same as the pool gate. In the event of a faecal/vomit accident, you must evacuate the pool immediately and then follow the instructions provided.
