Clubs operate during Terms 2 and 3 of the school year.
Chess and Board games - We have a range of board games such as Chess, Snakes and Ladders, Chequers, Connect 4, Operation, Yahtzee & Pick up sticks. Held at lunchtime in the Arts Hub for around 15-25 students come each time, some teach others new games, all age groups come and enjoy.
Music - Children join in freely each week to enjoy playing non-percussion instruments. We learn how to play the chime bars in unison and how to add a variety of other instruments to make a song more exciting. Children don't have to attend each week, but can come when they want to. Most children enjoy it so much that they do come each week. For those who want to get away from the buzz of the busy playground, the music club is a good place to go to.
Superkidz - SUPAkidz clubs help primary school children think about life from a Christian perspective. The bible-based values programme is written around the values of the New Zealand curriculum to compliment the teaching happening in school
Book Club - Held in the Media room during Term 2 & 4. New books into the Library are shared and read. Popular authors are introduced to nurture the children's love for reading.
Ukulele - uku-lele means jumping flea in Hawaiian, is for Year 1-3's after eating in the Arts Hub. We play easy songs and particularly songs with movement, like Alice the Camel has 5 humps..., Skip to My Lou (Play and skip with ukulele) and other action songs. Students learn the easiest ukulele chords, whilst having fun and keeping moving in their lunchtime.
