I was lucky enough to grow up in the Warkworth/Matakana area and still enjoy making the most of all the special things that are on offer around this beautiful area.

During my time at Matakana School, I have taught primarily in the junior end of the school and have also worked with special needs students and taught Reading Recovery.  I oversee support programmes such as Lexia and VAMP.  I work with an amazing team of Teacher Aides who support students with high needs or who have learning difficulties. 

I enjoy working with students who find learning difficult and have a particular passion for teaching reading.  

I think Matakana School is an amazing place to work because of the outstanding support from staff, parents and the community.
