I am a New Zealand trained teacher and after 4 years teaching in Auckland travelled to Denmark where I taught for 14 years. When our son Lukas turned five our family returned to New Zealand so he could begin school.

I have been teaching at Matakana School since 2006 and currently teach a delightful year 1 and 2 class in room 4. I enjoy teaching young children as they are so excited about their learning and they change and grow so much during the school year.

I love to relax with my family, working in our garden, cooking delicious food and continuing to explore this beautiful part of New Zealand.
