Hi, I'm Deborah Kearns and I am a New Zealand trained teacher and have been teaching for over 20 years.
I moved to Matakana six years ago and have been teaching at Matakana Primary for the past three years. Prior to settling in Matakana I taught in South and East Auckland. I have taught in all primary age groups of the school but much prefer the Junior area of the school.
My particular passion is in the teaching of visual arts. I particularly love teaching painting with young children.
I have two boys currently attending the school and a daughter starting next year. In my leisure time I enjoy diving, fishing, swimming and gardening.
