 ACTIVITIES FOR JULY 2012- JUNE 2013

TERM 3

 27^th July 2012:          School Cross Country Ice blocks

A cooling treat for students as they cross the finish line

Your contribution: Parents to help hand out ice blocks as students run through the finish line.

August                        Provide Year 6 picnic benches

The wood has been purchased and benches are being manufactured.

7^th August                   Inter school Cross Country

PTA is once again hosting the tuck shop. This is a real treat for students and a coffee and home baking is welcomed by parents.

 Your contribution:  Bake a slice, cake or batch of muffins. Help out on the stall for 30 minutes. Email your support to pta@matakana.school.nz or talk to PTA team.

This event was cancelled due to poor weather.  We hope that this event will take place in Term 4.

30th August                   Olympic Themed Sports Tabloid Day

PTA is hosting a tuck shop for this Olympic themed sports day. 

 Your contribution:  Please bake a batch of cupcakes for the stall.  

August/September        Kowhai Flag Making

We're making flags for the Kowhai Festival.  Thanks Lisa for leading this team!

 TERM 4`

13^th November           Refreshments for school athletics day

We’ll provide a sausage sizzle and drinks at the school athletics day. 

 Your contribution: 

Someone to cook sausages; help out at stall for the lunch period.

30^th November           Matakana Village – Christmas in the Village Our Choir and Kapa Haka will be performing at this lovely annual event and we'll have a tuck shop there!

 Your contribution:  Maybe bake a batch of cup cakes or a cake or two. More details to follow.

7^th December              Assist with Leavers Lunch/leaving presents

We say good bye to our Year 6 students. 

 Your contribution:

Your help throughout the year means the PTA can give each student a ‘leavers’ t-shirt (these special t-shirts have all year 6 students signatures on it!) Thanks!
