New Enrolments
New Entrants
Matakana School has a liaison with local pre-schools to monitor future enrolments; however it is advisable to contact the School on or around your child’s 4th birthday. At this time you may wish to meet with the Principal or the Deputy Principal and they may answer any questions you have. Please complete the attached Pre Enrolment Form and return to the school office by fax or mail to register your pre-enrolment.
Pre-School Visits
A week or two before your child’s 5th birthday, your child will be invited to visit the school and in particular the class they will be attending. The visits are over three consecutive days (two-three hours each day). This allows the child to meet their teacher and fellow pupils, get familiar with the school and the routines. It is a special time for the child and we encourage parents to stay for the first two visits only.
You will be provided with an Welcome Pack on your first school visit and forms should be returned to the office before the child starts their first official day. Please ensure you bring proof of residency, either birth certificate or passport and their immunisation certificate when your return this information. We will photocopy these for you. It is important all forms are completed entirely and returned promptly.
New Students
Already enrolled at another school and thinking of moving to the Matakana Coast region? Excellent - we'd love you to see you at Matakana School! We're ready for you now! Please discuss enrolment with the Principal or Deputy. Bring all your current information with you as this will make the enrolment process easier.
We look forward to welcoming new families to Matakana School.
